THRIFT STORES
The Arc thrift stores are the heavy hitters of our fund raising activities , for which we thank the dedication of our donors and volunteers. Without the efforts of these two groups of special people The Arc of Clay & Platte counnties, as we know it today, would not exist.
We encourage all persons with conections to the intellectually and developmentally challenged, parents, siblings, other relatives, educators, agency staffs and concerned citizens to consider what more can I do to help maintain the viability of the institution and the financial support afforded to the many agencies served.
Here are a few thoughts:
1) While you have many choices make certain you shop The Arc thrift stores and encourage other to do so.
2) Consider The Arc as your #1 destination for your gently used donations and again encourage your friends and neighbours to do the same
3) Consider volunteering a little of your time at one of our stores. The work is interesting and the camaraderie is rewarding.

Driving south on North Oak Trafficway look out for The Arc Thriftstore sign at 74th Street (on your right). Turn right into 74th Street and enter the building from the rear.
From the south turn left at 74th Street and enter the rear of the building on your right. Plenty of parking space available. Driving north on the 169, turn right on Hwy DD and proceed to the first 4 way stop. Turn left into N Bridge Street and the store will be found at the end of the street on the left. Public parking available immediately behind the store. Street parking permissable. |
